- If a destination is a distance where the package will sit in a UPS facility over the weekend, we may hold the package until the following Monday to ensure product quality.
If you would like your gift to ship immediately-
- Any packages with travel time over 2 days will require expediated shipping. To ensure your package arrives in the best condition, please choose either Next Day Air or 2nd Day Air. 3 Day Select is not always guaranteed to arrive the same week if your order is placed after Tuesday.
- During the warmer months, we highly suggest that you protect your package by selecting our Secure Summer Shipping add-on. By choosing this option, we will package your gift with ice packs and insulation to protect any vulnerable products. You can also add an expedited shipping option if the gift is traveling across the country.

Summer Shipping Protection helps safeguard temperature-sensitive items during warmer months. This optional add-on includes insulated packaging and cooling materials designed to help chocolates and other heat-sensitive products arrive in the best possible condition. While it cannot guarantee against melting during extreme temperatures, it significantly reduces the risk of heat-related damage during transit.
***If Summer Shipping Protection is not added, we may substitute temperature-sensitive items with products of equal value to ensure your gift arrives fresh and in excellent condition.
***If you choose to waive both expedited shipping and the Secure Summer Shipping add-on, Basket of Pittsburgh is not liable for any damaged products and will be unable to replace any products that may have been affected by transit time and weather.
